CRL stocks the most commonly replaced Wood’s® Powr-Grip® Lifting Frame parts to keep your equipment in safe and ready-to-use condition. Wood’s® recommends that “All pads should be replaced on a regular basis, preferably after no more than two years to ensure the friction coefficient is not compromised”. The friction coefficient represents the lifter’s ability to resist load slippage when the load is oriented in any position except horizontal. Contamination, wear, age, and exposure to sunlight, as well as the condition of the load’s contact will affect the surface. Pads that exhibit wear, stiffness or glazed surfaces must be replaced.
