CRL D1637M Mill Mirror Mount Frame Cleat 144″ Stock Length
This CRL Mirror Mount Frame Cleat has a unique offset profile which holds a mirror away from direct contact with the wall surface, and also creates a pocket into which the Top Channel Cap or a Mirror Frame Extrusion fits. The unique offset profile of the cleat helps keep moisture from being trapped behind the mirror, while also concealing screws and support hardware. When used with a bottom FHA Type J-Bar, and a Top Channel Cap the system affords the installer a neat, trim way to mount mirrors with a narrow 5/16″ (7.9 mm) frame.
If a fully framed system is desired use Mirror Frame Extrusion.
Hint: If using the Top Channel Cap, FHA J-Bar system, closed ends can be created by trimming back a portion of the J-Channel, and bending back the front flaps to close off the ends.
